Winter Solstice Grief Ritual ~ an embodied gathering to honor the grief within us all

Join Maggie Converse and Zoe Hanley for a grief ritual to honor love and loss.

Through ritual, gentle movement, somatic practices, journaling, song and more ~ you are invite to embody the medicine of your grief.

We gather to witness and hold space for our personal and collective griefs.

All griefs are welcomed in this space, however if you feel uncertain or have questions, please reach out at maggie.converse@gmail.com.

Grief resides in our bodies. When we take time and allow ourselves to be moved by grief, trust in grief's process, grief becomes less intimidating and we nourish our relationship with grief. We can learn how to live with the medicine and wisdom in our grief.

In this shared time together …

  • you will have an opportunity to check in and share about your intention and grief

  • you will be invited through micro-rituals honoring grief

  • you will be invited through moments of movement & rest

  • you will be invited to attune to your wise body and intuition

  • you will be invited to work with the medicine of song

  • you will have the opportunity to journal and take note of what comes forward

This is a space and time where we remember how to listen and attune to our wise spirits, bodies, minds and hearts.

These rituals are inspired by the teachings of Sobonfu and Malidoma Somé through their lineage of the Dagara people in Burkina Faso. It is also guided and inspired by mentors and teachers including Therese Charvet, Mary Hart, Laurence Cole, Narinder Bazen, Martín Prechtel, Stephen Jenkinson, Nityda Gessel, and Joanna Macy. We are also guided and inspired by our animal and plant kin.
